Mayhem

In the year 3555 the sun shone for an hour. Planet Mayhem turned dark and then lit up, purple chemicals reflecting off the liquid surface. The 3 moons come over the mountain in all different shapes, one waxing, waning and one was gibbous. The leader called mayhem jr wore darth vader suit. All you could see were his green eyes and a purple stone triangle on his forehead. The triangle was rotated 180 degrees. Mayhem jr turn around, glancing at soldiers working in his Mayhem stone factory. All of the soldiers looked like him, they just had a diffrent shape two lines with a cross through their forehead. The chemical that shines off the surface is what crafts the mayhem stone chemical runs into the factory the purple chemical that runs in to factory. We collected the mayhem stone and broke it open to use it teleportation. We are going to china earth it has the biggest population. We are going to take over it. Lines and lines of mayhem soldiers get ready to teleport. All of the soldiers land in the capital of China Beijing. Mayhem yells out, “We have to be quick because the army will be on us in second!” What they didn't realise was that the army knew they were coming the army had drones ready full of spray that kills mayhem soldiers as soon as it touches mayhem soldiers they get incinerate into black dust. The mayhem soldier hear the drones the soldiers report back to mayhem jr telling him the spray is killing all of the mayhem soldiers but mayhem jr makes it away back to spaces………..

Why:building on our transitions to high school

Success criteria: be active participants in a new cultural game.

10 CH from Grey High come to our school.

They wanted to teach us a game.

First off they told us what the game was called, “Te Uru”.  

They taught us how to play and why. We got split into three teams,

each team practiced different skills for 5 minutes then we swapped.

We got given a bib to know what team we were on.

All we could use for the game was our palm to catch the ball and throw the ball.

This game was really fun my team won 3 games.

Next time, instead of having one game, maybe we could have

2 games could be going at once so we don't have to wait to play.

We had to be at school 6.45 am. We left at 7.00 am. We got Porters at 9.30 am

It wasn't even cold. I was a bit nervous but it was my 3rd time being there.

We had to warm up. I did two laps up and down the beginner slope then I ski down the intermediate I forgot how to turn but on the next one I was fine. We keep going up and down till 12.00 then we had a lesson we did that for 30 minutes it was fun.

I skied over to Ms Kemp and asked to go up the chair lift she said, “Yes!”
I went up with Robbie and I started to ski down. I kept falling over and Robbie
had to chase my skis down the slope. I tried it three times then gave up and
slid on my butt the whole way to the bottom.

I put my skis back on and went over the jumps.
I thought the jumps were going to be difficult but they aren't even hard. It was really fun.

Trading Homework For Hard Labour

Gaza Strip a city of the state of Palestine.

Palestine is bordered by Israel, jordan,
Lebanon and Syria. It is in the middle east   

Ahmed is 13 and doesn't go to school.

His dad is ill, Ahmed does back breaking work.
He has to pick up gravel and metal and sell it to
the market trying to just earn a few shekels.
He takes his rumble to market with his donkey.

They get help from charitable organization but it
isn't enough.

I felt bad for them that there is people in this
world that rich and wont donate.
We are way different than them,
we actually have water and jobs that make money.

Try set up a donation for medicine for their dad then that could go out get a job.
This could be done by setting a website up and
ads on tv. That would help people see it because
mostly everyone watches TV.

In The Can By  Christopher Stitt

This genre is fiction and it is about relationships.

The story takes place in a primary school in Australia .  
We know this because at the front of the book Christopher
Stitt shouted out to the schools that helped him write it.

The main character are Calvin and Lewis. Lewis is the boy
who asks Kate to the dance. Kate is most popular girl in the
school. Calvin is Lewis’ friend. I think the characters ages are 12-13.

The boy, Lewis, goes and asks the beautiful girl in school to
the dance. He gets rejected and he runs away and hides in a
shed where the school puts all their old stuff. Lewis crawls
under all of the old desks. He was sitting feeling sad when
he heard something buzzing. Lewis pulled down the cover.

It was a vending machine, it had cold drinks in it. He
thought in his head, “I wonder if it still works?” He put in penny...
Cluck! Bang! the drink falls down and it was a cool cola. He
skulled back his drink then he looked in the reflection of the
vending machine.
“I think the drinks made me cool!”
He walks past the girl that he likes and the girl looks up at him.
She notices him…

today we learnt to use trinket list numbers it was hard at the start but you get the hung of it. At first we import the turtle then we put in number list which tells the turtle to make the shape  bigger or smaller . After for number in  number list that means for loop tina.foward(number*10) means times the number up to 10 and tina.left changes the angle of the turtle

Divisibility Rules

A number is divisible by 6 if the digits in the number add to multiple of 3 and
original number was even

E.G. 24612 adds to 2+4+6+1+2=fifteen

A number is divisible by 9 if the digits add up to multiple of 9   

E.g. 125325 adds to

1+2+5+3+2+5

=18  so it is a multiple of nine and can be divided by 9

A number is divisible by 3 if the digits in the number add

The Cloudy Gecko is a Gecko that inhabits New Zealand, but know one properly knows where it lives and if it is endangered. The Gecko is restricted to Stewart Island archipelago and outliers, including some very small, exposed islands. The Cloudy Gecko lives at an altitude of sea level to about 500 m. The Cloudy Gecko is Diurnal-nocturnal that means they come out at night and day.

The body colour is olive-grey to dark pinkish-brown (rarely dark olive-green). The Eye colour is olive-grey, iris with indistinct black edge, which is often absent. The mouth of the Cloudy Gecko is bright orange, with a huge tongue orange with a dark grey patch. The Cloudy Gecko’s live in the forest and scrub.
