Finding refuges

WALT make connections across texts, locating (finding) ,
retrieving (getting and using), synthesizing (putting it all together and sifting) and
summarising (identifying the important or key points) information.

We will have met the success criteria when we

• Can work out the meaning of new vocabulary.

• Locate information within a text.

• Make connections between ideas

• Synthesize and summarize key ideas

• Make links between our own lives and the lives of others

Trading Homework For Hard Labour

Gaza Strip a city of the state of Palestine.

Palestine is bordered by Israel, jordan,
Lebanon and Syria. It is in the middle east   

Ahmed is 13 and doesn't go to school.

His dad is ill, Ahmed does back breaking work.
He has to pick up gravel and metal and sell it to
the market trying to just earn a few shekels.
He takes his rumble to market with his donkey.

They get help from charitable organization but it
isn't enough.

I felt bad for them that there is people in this
world that rich and wont donate.
We are way different than them,
we actually have water and jobs that make money.

Try set up a donation for medicine for their dad then that could go out get a job.
This could be done by setting a website up and
ads on tv. That would help people see it because
mostly everyone watches TV.
